Functional Nurture

Children requiring nurture do so for varied reasons. As a result, the nurture should fit the child and their individual preferences. Progressive programmes of nurture can improve all elements of a child’s life, not only their school experience. Teaching self-regulation and relaxation techniques can enables individuals to learn their strengths and reduce their anxiety long-term. It is also possible to improve other essential skills by producing multi-functional activities.

Whilst some of the methods we have used have employed external professionals, such as Yoga instructors, we hold a range of nurture activities to meet your needs. Our time working with Occupational Therapists, Behaviour Support , CAMH’s and Educational Psychologists has provided vital tools to build effective nurture programmes designed to enable children to cope with any emotional difficulties they may have. This in no way is a form of counselling, or treatment, but an intervention to aid integration into class and overall enjoyment of school life.
